The Curonian Spit is undoubtedly one of the most unique corners of Lithuania, included in the Unesco World Heritage List.

It is a peninsula with breathtakingly beautiful dunes that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. It's not only a nature reserve, but also an important historical site for Lithuania.

There are several hidden and deserted settlements in the dunes. It's a place of Lithuanian history, as well as Vikings, Germans, French, Latvians, and Russians.

Juodkrante is the second largest linear settlement in the Curonian Spit, located just 14 km from Klaipėda and situated in a valley of parabolic dunes.

While there aren't many local residents living here, tourists visit to find peace all year round. Nothing clears the mind like the incredible beauty that nature has to offer.

With unspoiled nature and everything you need for a comfortable, carefree holiday in peace and quiet, it is the place to be for those looking for a tranquil holiday. But you can also visit a café, library or museum, and even go shopping.
